Branches

Legislative Branch

Responsible for:enacting the laws of the state and appropriating the money necessary to operate the government. 
  
 Congress


Judicial Branch

Responsible for:
interpreting the constitution and laws and applying their interpretations to controversies brought before it.

Supreme Court

Executive Branch

Responsible for:
implementing and administering the public policy enacted and funded by the legislative branch. 


President



The government is based of a check and balanced system.  So if the president wants a law to be passed it needs to go to congress and then it needs to go to the supreme court to make sure it is constitutional.
